ECC  Error Correction Code.

EDO RAM   Extended Data Out Random Access Memory

EEPROM  Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory.  EEPROM chips are used on different components including mainboards, modems, video cards, and some drives. They enable the user to update (or "flash") the built-in programming of the device and enable enhancements as well as additional features.

EIDE  Enhanced Integrated Device Electronics. EIDE is an improved version of IDE.

EISA  Extended Industry Standard Architecture. See also ISA

EMF  ElectroMagnetic Field. EMFs are produced by all electronic devices, including monitors, televisions, PC's, cordless and cellular phones, etc. The exact effects of EMFs have been debated for a number of years (i.e.: power transmission line debate).

EMF  Enhanced Meta File.

EMM  Extended Memory Manager. EMM is used to manage the memory of a PC that is beyond the conventional memory of 640k. EMM386 was a program developed by Microsoft to enhance the performance of DOS and Windows 3.1 OS's, and its features have since been incorporated into Windows.

EPP  Enhanced Parallel Port.

EULA  End User License Agreement. An EULA is an agreement to terms, usually electronically agreed to upon registration or installation of a program. There will be a readme accompanying an EULA explaining the legal uses of the software, etc.
