SIMD Single-Instruction, Multiple Data. A design standard used in processor manufacturing.

SIMM Single Inline Memory Module. An older RAM technology, replaced by DIMM's and SDRAM. SIMM's were the prevalent memory design used in late-generation 286's through late 486 designs.

SIMTEL Simulation and Teleprocessing.

SIPP Single Inline Pin Package. This memory interface was replaced, for the most part, by SIMM's. SIMM technology implemented a slot interface, while SIPP's are a pin-type interface.

SKU# Stock Keeping Unit Number. Manufacturers and distributors assign SKU numbers to each product (bar codes) to store product information and pricing as well as keep inventory information.
