V/IP Voice over Internet Protocol.

VAR Value-Added Reseller. A VAR purchases hardware and software, adds value to it by bundling service, installation, etc. and then resells it to the end user.

VESA Video Electronics Standards Association.

VGA Video Graphics Array Video specification for a resolution of 640 X 480 pixels in 256 colors.

VPN Virtual Private Network. This is similar to a LAN in that the network is internal to a corporation or group of users, but a VPN incorporates remote users and locations as if they were a member of the LAN (using a WAN). This is done with many security concerns addressed since the network is open to external users.

VRAM Video Random Access Memory. A type of memory used on video adapters.

VSAT Very Small Aperture Terminal.

VxD Virtual eXtended Driver a.k.a. Virtual Device Driver (Microsoft).

VXML Voice eXtensible Markup Language.
